In Thru the Out Door
  JERRY BROWNING

 NAKED DREAMS

In Thru the Out Door

when I was thirteen and out of cash
a movie came out I just had to crash
I waited outside for the show to end
when the people crowded out
I came sliding in
in thru the out door
pushin’ in thru the out door

in thru the out door
what can I say
guess I’ll take any chance
just to get my way
in thru the out door
how can that be
oh Mr. Policeman have mercy on me

my big brother Bill had a new girlfriend
face like an angel and a body for sin
when they broke up had to comfort her soul
let her cry on my shoulder
and a little bit more
in thru the out door
slipping in thru the out door

in thru the out door
what can I say
guess I’ll take any chance
just to get my way
in thru the out door
how can that be
oh dear brother have mercy on me

me and my woman had a hell of a fight
so I hit the town drinking and stayed out all night
she was standing in the kitchen with a frying pan
I know I’m not a coward
but I’m not a stupid man
in thru the out door
crawling in thru the out door

in thru the out door
what can I say
guess I’ll take any chance
to avoid the pain
in thru the out door
how can that be
oh honey baby have mercy on me

I’m good at being bad and bad at being good
take the path of least resistance maybe more than I should
when I see St. Peter at the judgment gate
probably have to slip around
and find another way
in thru the out door
sneaking in thru the out door

in thru the out door
what can I say
guess I’ll take any chance
just to get my way
in thru the out door
how can that be
oh sweet Jesus have mercy on me

in thru the out door
singing in thru the out door
once again thru the out door
in thru the out door
out door
