the gravity of her smile
pulled me toward the edge
and into her lovely orbit

our spiraling perfection
painted sweet brilliance,
the envy of the cosmos

eventually colliding and
depleting like nuclear atoms,
we expelled a white light

dancing and twinkling the sky
to be smelted and reassembled
in the belly of a supernova

radiating all the colors
in the detectable spectrum…
visible and invisible, again
