Storm at Sea
  JERRY BROWNING

 ..FOLLOWING SEAS

Storm at Sea

demon swells

and black horizons

beckon our course

daring us

just daring us…

cross

full throttle ahead

cautious living

spells death

take a deep breathe

and enter the fringe

rising

       falling

              shaking

                      rolling

creaking and moaning

sing an unholy hymn

to the taste of the blood

of every good man

lost at sea

thunder burst laughter

at cowards who cry

raging winds curse

as seconds creep by

and by

and by
