Richer for the Ride

Richer for the Ride

there are so many things that i’ve lost along the way

don’t know why they’re gone or where they went

good times and bad times all work out the same

and all the hurt i’ve caused was never meant

i know i …may never pass this way again

i know i …may never see your face

but in the misty morning when i travel thru the dawn

the levy of my heart is bound to break

when i met you baby, i saw you were a catch

but i knew soon i’d be on my way

the times that we loved and the times that we laughed

is a debt i know that i cannot repay

i know i …may never pass this way again

i know i …may never see your smile

but in the misty morning when i travel thru the dawn

your prayers of love will guard me every mile

guess the time has come for me to get along

wonder if this highway ever ends

but this restless, weary feeling is all i’ve ever known

and it’s much too late for me to make amends

i know i …may never pass this way again

i know i …may never gaze your eyes

now in the misty morning as i travel thru the dawn

i know that i’ve grown richer for the ride

Lord knows i’m so much richer for the ride

hope you’re a little richer for the ride
