like a mushroom
in a dark musty corner
i stare
at a full moon console
creeping
diamonds and triangles
depict my enemy

life’s rather simple
if i don’t pry
beyond the symbols
i feel his radar waving
and realize…
he’s looking back at me

like Pac Man® and Galaga®
blue ghosts show no mercy
missile flights are tricky
when it’s machine
against machine
and Blinky really dies
