Rollin’ Away

Rollin’ Away

out on highway sixty-six
ridin’ thru the crack o’ dawn
sound of the tires hummin’
play rhythm with a country song
i’m rollin’ away
rollin’ away
rollin’ away again
hope she knows i’ve gone to stay
i’m rollin’ away again
hello sunshine
and wide open spaces
forget the bad times
and the love that i’ve wasted

another tank of gasoline
put the tee-top in the trunk
feel happy as that hound dog
in the bed of that pick-up truck
i’m rollin’ away
rollin’ away
rollin’ away again
don’t care what the old folks say
i’m rollin’ away again
hello blue skies
and wide open spaces
findin’ paradise
in the pretty girl’s faces

full moon on the desert sand
sends tingles down my spine
fills the whole horizon
shrinkin’ as it climbs
i’m rollin’ away
rollin’ away
rollin’ away again
wish i could save this moment
share it with my friends
hello starlight
and wide open spaces
findin’ peace o’ mind
in the strangest of places

out on highway sixty-six…
