The Warrior Poet

The Warrior Poet

iíve seen sunny days
eclipsed by bloody moons
strong men fall to their knees
and weep
at premonitions
of imminent doom

iíve felt the devilís hand
rest on my tingling neck
and reached to god
with chattering teeth
as i dodged the jaws of death

iíve kissed the lips of virgins
and fell for the lies of whores
iíve had my heart ripped
from my chest
still i kill for the thrill
of love and war
