Lyiní in the Dark

we sit up in a tangled sheet
after an hour of faking love
light ourselves a cigarette
you ask what iím thinkiní of
my heart screams out, god dammit
i canít take it anymore
but i smile and say ďah nothiníĒ
as i stare down at the floor
you tell me that you love me
i say that i love you
i swear that youíre the only
but you know that isnít true
with our arms around each other
our thoughts drift worlds apart
and we spend another night together
lyiní in the dark
(Instrumental)

i know you have a lover boy
Joe saw you in that bar
at first i didnít believe it
then i saw you in his car
but how can i point a finger
when three point back at me
you know about that dancer
though you act like you donít see
you tell me that you love me
i say that i love you
you swear that iím the only
but, i know that isnít true
with our arms around each other
our thoughts drift worlds apart
and we spend another night together
lyiní in the dark
