The Last Rebel Shot

when the last rebel shot echoes an endless night
and the swords are beaten into plowshares
mankind’s spirit will have perished
for a world without strife and opposition
must be the purist form of anarchy

when the last rebel shot echoes an endless night
and all mysteries of the universe unfold at our touch
mankind’s reason will be lost
for a world without question and uncertainty
must be the purist form of ignorance

when the last rebel shot echoes an endless night
and all of god’s creatures merge into a single soul
mankind’s passion will be impotent
for a world without dreams and fears
must be the purest form of loneliness
