JERRY BROWNING

 ..FOLLOWING SEAS

Lady Doll

i go to work still smellin’ her perfume
then i drive home at a frantic pace
she’s waitin’ for me looking like an angel
morning finds me in a cloudy daze

CHORUS
when Lady Doll smiles
my eyes grow misty
when Lady Doll laughs
she makes my day
when Lady Doll holds me
i can feel the mystery
when Lady Doll loves me
trouble sails away

look at the world thru the eyes of a child
ferris wheels and funny faces
mickey mouse and cotton candy
ride your dreams to these magic places

CHORUS

when we go out i’m as proud as a peacock
show her off to all my pals
but i feel sorry for the lonely fellas
who don’t depend on a Lady Doll’s smile

CHORUS

Norfolk, Virginia ‘86
