The Green Door
  JERRY BROWNING

 ..FOLLOWING SEAS

The Green Door

she walked in the room

her perfume filled the air

in a low-cut dress

and long flowing hair

her crazy brown eyes

cut me to the bone

she bought me a drink

said “let’s get it on”

i was thrown

i was taken

i was smilin’

my hands were shakin’

oh yea

she took off her dress

threw it on the floor

pulled off her rings

locked the bedroom door

took me in her arms

slowly laid me down

we never touched the earth

just floated all around

i was thrown

i was taken

i was filled

my joint was achin’

oh yea

she left me at the bar

i drank another shot

walking back home

thought how she got me off

now i’m here every night

staring at the door

but she never walks in

guess i should have known

i was thrown

i was taken

i was used

my heart’s forsaken

oh well
