Broken Hearts and Heavy Seas

Broken Hearts and Heavy Seas

how can i tell you
all the things that i’ve been thru
all the roads that i’ve traveled
all the people i’ve seen
when you sit there so sweetly
give all your love to me
saying goodbye girl
will shatter your dreams

CHORUS
but the ocean’s my home now
the waves whisper gently
climb on my back boy
we’re goin’ away
the wind in my hair
and the sun on my shoulders
put the salt in my blood
love’s the price that i pay

night’s slowly sinking
my soul feels so empty
one side says ramble
the other says stay
as you lie softly sleeping
pillow wet from your weeping
how i wish i could tell you
it’ll all be okay

CHORUS - Modified
but the ocean’s my home now
the waves whisper gently
climb on my back boy
we’re goin’ away
the wind in my hair
and the sun on my shoulders
put the salt in my blood
love’s the price that i pay
how can i tell you
